Dubai is one of those vacation destinations that offer fun plans for the whole family. There are beaches to relax with them, water parks, aquariums, museums and many other places that excite children, young people, adults and even the elderly alike. With fun rides, a huge water park and a miniature replica of downtown Dubai made entirely of Lego pieces, Legoland Dubai has plenty of activities to keep the family busy. In addition, there are plenty of food options, shops and two other parks, MOTIONGATE and Bollywood, within walking distance.
Is Dubai a good place for a family vacation? Dubai could be a great place for families to spend a vacation. Dubai has a good climate, amusement parks, an indoor ski resort and water parks, which especially favor older children, but Dubai also has hundreds of all-inclusive resorts suitable for families. I've been wanting to visit Dubai for several years, but it's been hard to convince my girlfriend that Dubai could be a great family vacation. If you're planning a family vacation in Dubai and looking for the perfect ideas for the whole family, check out this post for inspiration.
So I've made this list of things that I would do in Dubai with my family, as long as I had the pleasure of going there. Different opening hours and regulations apply on religious holidays, such as the ban on serving alcohol in Dubai (more information on Ramadan below). I don't think this is the right place for you if you want to hike in the mountains or visit ancient cultural relics, but if you want a great destination to visit with the family, I really think Dubai would be great. There's no specific boat trip that I would recommend, mostly because I haven't been to Dubai yet, but from what I hear from friends and family, and from what I read on the Internet, it's that boat trips around Dubai are beautiful and incredible.
Therefore, all my research shows me that I would travel to Dubai, in the months that are considered to be the coldest in Denmark, where we come from. Major malls tend to open at 10 in the morning, even on Fridays, which can be a good time to get inside before the crowds arrive at the end of the day (especially the Dubai Mall and Mall of the Emirates). There are public transport systems, including the Dubai metro system, which is now heavily used, but you may have to drive to easily get from A to B (especially in the summer months, walking just isn't an option). Activities for children in Dubai include the Atlantis Aquaventure water park, The Ski Dubai indoor ski resort, and the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo.
As for moving around with babies, you'll find that most tourist destinations are easily accessible with a stroller, but be careful in some of the older areas of Dubai and Abu Dhabi, as the trails aren't designed with strollers and strollers in mind; the curbs are too high and there aren't always ramps to go up and down.
